In today's business environment, human resources management is gaining crucial importance not only to those who are directly involved in the field, but also to others who has a responsibility for managing people. The human resources development programme is aimed at managers, executives and supervisors to enable them to be more equipped in their involvement in the various areas of human resources. This detailed and interactive programme will be held at the MISCO Training Centre in Valletta from February 17 to February 21 between 2.30 and 5.30 p.m.

This workshop style programme will provide participants with a very good understanding of various topics including human resources development within a modern management perspective, training needs analysis, selection and interviewing, job descriptions, job evaluation, on-the-job-training and performance appraisal.

Practical public relations

Media Professionals are becoming more discerning and demanding in terms of the quality of the material they handle. PR consultants need a variety of skills to be able to handle their roles effectively not only to ensure that their clients are given the widest possible exposure on all media but also to produce material that the media organisations can use.

"Practical public relations", being held at the MISCO Training Centre in Valletta between February 24 and February 27 from 4.30 to 7 p.m., takes participants through the various skills they are expected to have a command of.

Starting with how to put up and moderate a press conference, there will be units on press release writing, putting together a press pack, interviewing skills and feature writing.
