Contestants in the Song for Europe Festival are holding a mini three-hour concert at Bay Street on Saturday from 3 p.m.
They will sing extracts of the song they will be performing on the final nights of the festival being held at Ta' Qali on February 7 and 8.
The ultimate aim is to raise money for the Ghana Mission Foundation which is building a health centre in Ghana.
Chosen as one of Pope John Paul II's millennium projects, the Lm300,000 health centre will specialise in ophthalmic surgery.
It will also be providing holistic therapy, incorporating medical, psychological and spiritual aspects. The project is being coordinated by the International Catholic Programme of Evangelisation, a Catholic organisation founded in Malta in 1985.
The centre, which will be named after the Maltese eye specialist Luigi Preziosi, will also be accessible to the rest of the region south of the Sahara.
