UniTel international telephony services launched

Euroweb Limited last week launched the UniTel range of telephony services for both residential and commercial users. UniTel customers can now make low cost international phone calls directly from normal fixed or mobile telephones.

Euroweb Ltd, set up by the Techinvest Group to exploit the liberalisation of the telecommunications market in Malta, is one of the leading local ISPs (Internet service providers), offering a range of narrowband and broadband Internet services.

To mark the launch of the UniTel brand, Euroweb is offering customers buying prepaid accounts in Lm3, Lm5, Lm15 and Lm25 denominations a number of benefits including:

50% extra top-up on their account;
A free Internet account with every purchase;
Up to 120 days time window on most accounts;
No connection fee and no monthly rentals;
Per second billing; and

UniTel's services are provided over carrier grade equipment from CISCO and a state-of-the art prepaid card platform from leading platform suppliers N-Soft Limited, who are represented in Malta by Techinvest Limited.

The Techinvest Group is led by Tony Mejlaq, former chairman and CEO of Maltacom plc, and Dr Ing. Saviour Zammit, former deputy chairman and technical director of Maltacom plc, both of whom are directors in Euroweb Limited.
