San Giljan ASC are looking forward to the coming season as the committee has lately strengthened the squad in no small measure with a view of bringing back the glory days to the Balluta Bay club.

San Giljan have recently completed the transfer of Patrick Cachia and Keith Schembri from Sliema. They were joined by Ian Azzopardi who last season played for Neptunes. All three signed long-term agreements with the club.

Another useful move for San Giljan was to convince Gary Farrugia to renew his commitment by signing a four-year deal.

Tony Camilleri, formerly of Neptunes, will be the new coach. At present, the team is undergoing its build-up to the Winter League with the swimming preparation under the hands of Russian coach Oleg Kreker.

Azzopardi and Schembri will be making a return to the club after spending their early days in the Saints' youth sector and played for the team that won the First Division League for San Giljan in 1995.
