Local Government Minister Austin Gatt and the Association of Local Councils deplored the arson on the door of Zejtun local council and on the door of Luqa Briffa Garden which occurred on Saturday night.

The association said whoever committed such acts had the aim of hindering persons who are democratically elected to work for their locality.

Dr Gatt said that these acts would not hinder the councillors in their initiatives.
