Obituary
ABELA. On January 18, at St Luke's Hospital, SPIRIDIONA née Fitzpatrick, aged 95, widow of Emanuel, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss her beloved children Carmen and her husband Roger, Maria wife of the late Joseph, Gaetano and his wife Irene, Joe and his wife Doris, Emanuel and his wife Eileen, Anna and her husband Joe, Sylvia and her husband Paul, Tessie and her husband Joe, her daughter in-law Kate, wife of the late Thomas, and William, widower of her daughter Frieda, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 2 p.m. for Our Lady Of Lourdes parish church, San Gwann where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza will be appreciated. Special thanks to the dedicated specialists, doctors, nurses and staff at Orthopedic Ward 3 at St Luke's Hospital. May the Lord grant her eternal rest.
MIFSUD. SAVIOUR of Gudja, ex-teacher at St Joseph Junior Lyceum, Paola, ex-assistant head at Guzè Galea Boys Secondary School, Qormi and honorary president of "La Stella" Band Club, Gudja, went to meet the Risen Lord comforted by the rites of Holy Church on Sunday, January 19, 2003 at the age of 59.
He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Doris née Trevisan, his sons Mario, Shawn and Michel and their fiancées, his mother Catherine, his sisters Maria Aquilina and Vennie Dalli, in-laws, their families, relatives and friends. - R.I.P.
The funeral leaves Sir Paul Boffa Hospital today, Monday, January 20 at 3 p.m. for St Mary's parish church in Gudja where Mass will be celebrated at 3.30 p.m., followed by interment at Gudja cemetery. MUSUMECI. On January 19 at St Luke's Hospital, ANTHONY, aged 72, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Rose, née Magro, his sons Martin and his wife Miriam, Joseph and his wife Tania and Robert and his fiancée Marie Louise, his grandchildren Maria Louisa, Gianluca and Nina Maria, his sister Hilda and her husband Vincent Buhagiar, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 3.15 p.m. for Siggiewi parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 4 p.m. followed by interment at Siggiewi cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza in Siggiewi will be appreciated.

She is mourned by her mother Carmen Delia, her beloved husband Noel, her children Bernadette and her husband Alan Randle residing in the USA, Julia and her husband John Agius Vadala, Stephen and his wife Beatrix Rizzo, Melanie and her husband Luis Cruz Benitez, her grandchildren, sisters, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St James (Capua) Hospital tomorrow, Tuesday, at 2 p.m. for St Julian's parish church where Holy Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m. Interment will be at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Day's Seminar

Late Applications
The Examinations Department will be receiving late applications for the Matriculation Certificate Examination, Advanced Level Single Subject Examination, the Matriculation Certificate (Narrowly Failed) Examination for May 2003 Session, and for the Secondary Education Certificate Examination between January 29-30. Applications should be made to the department in Floriana or the Examinations Centre in Victoria as appropriate.
