The Federation of Associations of Travel and Tourism Agents has welcomed the Labour Party's resolution to retain VAT.

The federation said it welcomed any party's commitment to reduce the VAT rate on tourism services.

"As a pillar of the Maltese economy, tourism should not be politicised," the federation said, auguring that both parties would continue to support tourism and that they would seek to reach consensus on tourism-related policies.
