KPMG appoints new partners, director

KPMG last week announced it appointed two new partners and a director. Anthony Pace has been appointed Tax partner, David Caruana partner, Financial Advisory Services, and Mark Bamber, director, Business Advisory Services. Their appointment is effective from January 1.

Mr Pace is a graduate in accountancy, a Certified Public Accountant and Auditor, a Fellow of the MIA, and a member of the Malta Institute of Taxation (MIT).

He has been with the firm for the past 12 years, over which he has gained extensive experience in audit, international business and taxation. He currently sits on the MIT's Indirect Taxation Committee.

Mr Caruana is a graduate in accountancy and also holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Computing. He obtained an MBA from NEPC School of International Management (Paris), and is a Fellow of the MIA.

Mr Caruana joined KPMG in 1989 and has since been actively involved in numerous financial advisory engagements, including initial public offerings, business and share valuations, and due diligence assignments.

Mr Bamber joined KPMG in 1997. He has extensive experience in strategic planning and organisational advisory engagements for a variety of private and public sector clients, as well as a number of EU-related assignments.

A graduate in Business Management, Mr Bamber holds an MBA from the University of Brunel. He is also a member of the Institute for the Management of Information Systems and a member of the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners.

These appointments bring the number of partners/directors of KPMG to 13. The firm was founded in 1969 and is today one of Malta's leading firms of certified public accountants and auditors, providing a complete range of inter-related services and employing over 165 staff. The offices of KPMG are in Pietà, with a branch office in Gozo.
