Non-executive director

The Gasan Group has appointed Louis Farrugia as the third non-executive director to the board of Gasan Group Limited, the holding company of the Gasan Group.

The board is now composed of five non-executive directors out of a total of six. Of the five, three are not shareholders.

"I think that this is an unprecedented proportion of independent directors in a privately owned group and it reflects our determination to run the group to the highest standards of corporate governance," group chairman Joseph Gasan said in a statement.

Mr Farrugia is managing director of Simonds Farsons Cisk plc and chairman of Multigas Ltd.
