A Mosta man yesterday pleaded guilty to a series of thefts from cars in Paceville on New Year's Eve.
Massimo Galea, 22, pleaded guilty to stealing a stereo from George Saliba's Ford Fiesta, a black bag with CDs from George Attard's Toyota, a stereo from Karl Muscat's Ford Fiesta, a mobile phone from Jonathan Bondin's Toyota and a car stereo from an unidentified person between 10 p.m. on New Year's Eve and 3 a.m. on New Year's Day.
The cars were parked in St George's Bay and Michael Angelo Cagiano and Michael Angelo Borg streets.
Galea was also charged with trying to burgle John Paul Young's Fiat, damaging the cars and possession of heroin in circumstances denoting it was not for his personal use, to which he also pleaded guilty.
He was denied bail.
Police Inspector Mario Tonna prosecuted.
Dr Vince Galea appeared for the defendant.
