One of the major benefits of the University's internationalisation policy is the opportunity it provides to Maltese students to network with students from many countries and to learn about other countries' traditions, customs, and modern day political and economic realities.
For this reason the University's International Office, the Students' Representative Council (KSU) and the Malta International Students Association (MISA) are working hard to make the presence of international students on campus more effective by organising activities on campus.
One such activity, "Experience China", took place last week at the Common Room at University House. The opening was attended by Yang Guirong, the Chinese Ambassador, the Rector, Professor Roger Ellul-Micallef, and Leslie Agius, director of the University's International Office.
The aim was to present the new and dynamic China to local and overseas students. During the three-hour programme, Chinese students gave presentations about the important traditions of their vast country - olk art and crafts and Chinese medicine and traditional costumes as well as modern Chinese fashion.
