The Malta Aviation Society and Malta Air Traffic Services yesterday organised an aviation-themed day out for children from three care homes.

The children started the day with a tour around the Malta Aviation Museum at Ta' Qali, where they were shown around the various aircraft exhibits.

From Ta' Qali, the children were taken to the airport for a one and a half hour educational flight around Malta and Sicily. The flight and cabin crew on this special Air Malta flight provided their professional service for free.

The children were also taken to visit the air traffic control tower.
