A delegation from Algeria is in Malta for a three-day visit to take a closer look at the water information systems being used by the Water Services Corporation.

This technology has been developed by the WSC and Datatrak IT Services Ltd, a Maltese firm.

The WSC said the Algerian delegation would attend presentations on the provision of water, the compiling of electricity bills and the facilities offered by the Institute of Water Technology.

The delegation has also shown an interest in the desalination technology used by Malta Desalination Services, a subsidiary of WSC.
