The run-up to Christmas at Bay Street is this year expected to be an entertaining and colourful experience, which will see over 20 events being held in different areas of the Complex.

Bay Street will be hosting from one to three different events daily until Christmas Day. All events in the Christmas programme form part of Bay Street's commitment to create an entertainment destination within a retail environment, as well as a platform, where Malta's upcoming artists can perform in front of a live audience.

Activities throughout the week will be held in the evenings and on weekends the programme starts early in the afternoon. This programme includes dance shows by established schools including the Alison White Dancers, Pippa Gee Dancers and the Msida Dance School, which specialise in ballroom and Latin American dancing.

Each of these dance schools will be putting together their own Christmas show, for the entertainment of visitors at Bay Street while Christmas shopping. Music will be provided live by various established singers, bands and choirs.

Apart from the Bay Street singers, which include Keith Camilleri, Eleanor Cassar, Aldo Busuttil and Vittorio Gauci, Bay Street will be hosting Fabrizio Faniello's concert, for the launching of his Christmas CD.

Other activities include snippets from the Christmas pantomime by the Playhouse Art Centre, a Christmas procession and a charity event for Kenya.
