Tony Drago was last night eliminated from the UK Championships after he was beaten by Scotland's Alan McManus 9-7 in the second round of the tournament being played in York.

The Maltese professional was already trailing 5-3 at the end of the first session played yesterday morning. McManus made a blistering start to the second session winning the two frames to take a 7-3 lead before Drago staged a remarkable comeback to win the next four frames and draw at 7-7.

However, McManus regained his confidence to win the next two frames and set-up a quarter-final clash with either Peter Ebdon or Dave Harold.
