Charles Aquilina, a food preparation and production student at the Institute of Tourism Studies currently on placement at the Hilton West Pier in Brighton, has placed third in the Hilton Chef of the Year Award at the Brighton Metropole Hotel.

A total of 36 employees from Hilton hotels across the UK took part.

A bronze medal, a certificate, a CD player, a wine decanter and £150 were presented to Mr Aquilina.
