Karl Montfort, Nadia Farrugia and Stephanie Bugeja have won the Central Bank prizes for outstanding research work presented in student dissertations.

The prizes are awarded by the economics department of the University of Malta in collaboration with the Central Bank. Apart from this award, the bank and the university also collaborate in offering courses for staff and in organising research seminars at the bank.

The Central Bank prize will be given regularly and early next year the faculty will organise a conference at which the best dissertations will be presented.
