The inflation rate in October stood at 2.82 per cent, down from 2.89 per cent in September, according to figures released yesterday by the National Statistics Office.

In October last year, inflation stood at 2.48 per cent.

In October 2002, the retail price index went up by 0.22 points, or 0.18 per cent, over September, to 119.40.
