If the Malta Standards Authority is unable to do anything about a shortcoming that is hitting the consumer, who is then responsible to see to such a matter?

When I complained to my butcher, he told me that meat and poultry pro-cessed in Malta are injected with water so as to increase their weight.

Are we really trying to join the European Union or is the ad-ministration closing its eyes to all this for being afraid of losing votes?
