The Bioethics Consultative Committee, the Malta College of Family Doctors, and the Malta Chamber of Pharmacists are organising a symposium on "Ethical issues in Family Practice: Future Perspectives" in Malta next week.

The symposium will be held at the Medical School in Guardamanga on December 9-11, and the keynote speaker will be Prof. Gerrit Kimsma, from the Free University of Amsterdam in The Netherlands, who will take the Dutch perspective of ethical issues in family medicine.

Topics to be covered over the three days include general practice, pharmacy practice, primary care, the elderly and equity.

The symposium is being covered by Delta and Leo Pharma.
