How coaching and mentoring contribute to recruitment, retention, succession planning, knowledge management and other critical business objectives will be among the topics addressed at a seminar to be held by Misco on Thursday.

The three-hour seminar will be conducted by Prof. David Clutterbuck, whom Misco describes as the world's leading authority on mentoring in employment.

Prof. Clutterbuck introduced the concept of structured mentoring programmes to Europe more than 25 years ago. Since then, he has written six books on mentoring and coaching, with two more in the pipeline, and hundreds of articles.

"Mentoring and coaching are among the fastest growing and most effective methods of people development. Mentoring, in particular, is a powerful method for achieving culture change. Both also have the potential to develop both parties in the relationship - two for the price of one," a Misco spokesman said.

The seminar will be held on Thursday between 1.30 and 5 p.m. at the Hilton Malta.
