The Malta Football Association yesterday announced that the two Premier League matches at the Victor Tedesco Stadium and the two-match Division One programme at the Hibs Ground had to be called off due to waterlogged pitches at both venues following the persistent rains which fell on Saturday.

In a statement, the MFA said that the Marsa vs Mosta and Hamrun vs Marsaxlokk matches will now be played tomorrow at the Centenary Stadium, starting at 6 and 8 p.m. respectively.

However, no dates were provided for the two Division One matches - Naxxar vs Mqabba and Xghajra vs Msida which were supposed to be played yesterday at Corradino. Sources said that another Division One match between Mqabba and Gozo, which was postponed last month, will now be played on December 22.

Yesterday's Premier League programme became the second one this season to be postponed.

The two matches - Hibs vs Marsaxlokk and Valletta vs Mosta - were also called off on November 10 due to a waterlogged pitch at Hamrun.
