Sunday morning's have become synonymous now with Tista Tkun Int!, TVM's most popular day time programme, according to a recent survey published by the Malta Broadcasting Authority. Many have altered their schedules not to miss a second of this heart-wrenching TV show. And what better day than the sabbath to give charity to those who have been through a lot in their lives, even by just bringing a long-lost smile back on their faces.

Tista Tkun Int! has made several dreams come through throughout the three years it has been broadcast on TVM and has turned tables upside down ever since breaking records in TV audiences and televoting numbers in its time band. As a matter of fact Tista' Tkun Int! during the past nine episodes has managed to achieve over 135,000 televoting callers phoning in for the competitions.

The survey has also shown that 45 per cent of the average 110,000 viewers that switch to TVM on Sunday mornings are from a white collar society and 76 per cent of the viewers are female.

The secret of the programme's success is in its ability to dissipate a feel-good factor among the nominees on the show and the audience watching from home, while distributing very generous prizes to those who call in thanks to the number of sponsors who believe in the show.

The prizes include exotic holidays, luxury cruises, attractive furniture and, above all, a Lm26,000 Mercedez C Class Elegance. This week, viewers phoning in stand the chance to win a Lm500 gift offered by B4 Textiles of Mosta and Fgura, Lm700 television complete with surround system offered by Topchoice Limited of Hamrun and a Lm1,400 bedroom offered by Construct Furniture, among many other very useful prizes.

This week the Tista' Tkun Int! team will be tackling four new cases.

The first is of a perfectly healthy young girl who, in order to communicate with and help a hearing-impaired friend of her's, took the bother to learn sign language. She should be waiting for a love message on the programme, which could turn out to be a great surprise for both.

Then there is the story of a 35-year-old man who has two tumors and who will be receiving help from one of the sponsors.

Another case tackled today will be that of a son who's mother is dying in Australia. His employer had flown him to Australia but unfortunately she was in a coma so he could not talk to her. Thanks to Tista Tkun Int! the story will continue in today's edition.

Produced and presented by Rachel Vella, co-presented by Joe Dimech Tista' Tkun Int! is aired live every Sunday morning from 9.45 a.m. to 1 p.m. on TVM with a repeat on Channel 12 every Wednesday from 7.45 p.m. onwards. Today's programme will start at 10 a.m.
