How would you like to live in a world with no animals? Imagine - no birds to sing, no dogs or cats. No insects to help in your garden and no butterflies to adorn it.
No fish in the sea, horses on the farms or goats roaming the hills.
Animals - in all shapes and sizes - are a blessing from their creator. They each have their own peculiarity and particular job to perform and go about it wholeheartedly. But, however capable they are in their own realms, they need protection from man's cruelty and encroaching development.
God commanded us to be stewards to all creatures to respect all animals and be responsible for them. To be a good steward is not simply to walk the dog or brush the cat that lives with us. It is to extend that love to other creatures that have no voice. It is to stand up for the rights of animals because they cannot do it themselves.
We should challenge our ways of thinking about our faith. It is our responsibility to care for the whole animal kingdom.
