A 40-gallon drum and two metal grills were found in the sewage trunk main in Naxxar Road, Lija, during maintenance work, the Infrastructure Ministry said yesterday.

It said that this main was a very important part of the drainage infrastructure and there would have been serious consequences had the workers not discovered and removed the obstacles.
