Between November 4 and 11, members of the KSU executive took part in a conference organised by the Bari University Student Council. The conference, on the theme 'Students' Rights: an International Exchange of Experiences', brought together 180 European students from various student organisations in Europe.

The discussions focused on topics such as 'Co-operation among Universities', 'Equal Opportunities for Students' and 'The role of student Associations within Welfare at University' at which Christine Spiteri-Paris from the KSU International Office was one of the keynote speakers.

Academics of standing who also made interventions were the Rector of the University of Bari Professor Girone; the Rector of the Polytechnic of Bari, Professor Castolani; and the president of the Community of Mediterranean Universities, Dr Ambrosi.

KSU also participated in the workshops held. These focused primarily on the issues concerning student mobility and its obstacles and the role of student unions within University.

During the event KSU worked to establish contacts with the student bodies in Italy. In doing so, KSU aims to work on common projects in the near future. Further information may be obtained from international@ksu.org.mt.
