Eight-year-old Khadisha Zahra from Balzan submitted the winning photo in a competition for the best photograph organised by the Mediterraneo Marine Park of Bahar ic-Caghaq on the occasion of the feast of San Martin, last Sunday.

Children were invited to produce a photograph showing off their pet. The photographs entitled the children to free entrance to the park.

The winning photograph showed a smiling Khadisha with her pet mice clinging to her hair.

She won a free swim with the Mediterraneo dolphins Budvan and Pega. After attending a dolphin show, each child was presented with a Borza ta' San Martin.

Fr Julian Sammut celebrated Mass and later blessed animals at the park.

The Mediterrraneo Marine Park is now being managed by the same management as the Dolphin Park in Riccione, Rimini.
