Michael Spiteri and his assistant Tania Mallia have won the award for the best set of slides in the 10th Blue Dolphin of Malta International Underwater Photographic Competition 2002.

Germans Heike Daniele Merz and assistant Thomas Zurawski won the award for the best competition slide.

The competition was organised by the Federation of Underwater Activities in collaboration with Malta Tourism Authority, Air Malta and the Malta Maritime Authority.

The competition was based at the Corinthia Jerma Palace Hotel, Marsascala.

The 2003 edition is to be held between November 11-16.
