Charged with theft

A Qawra man was yesterday charged with stealing a car and Lm500 in cash in Naxxar last week.

Dominic Azzopardi, 33, pleaded not guilty to stealing a Mazda 121 worth over Lm1,000 to the detriment of Emanuel Cutajar and Francis Xuereb and stealing the cash from Cutajar on November 14 at about 5.30 p.m.

He was remanded in custody.

Police Inspectors David Saliba and Simon Galea prosecuted.
