Obituary

BALDACCHINO. On November 16, at St Luke's Hospital, CARMELA, aged 88, of Luqa, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sister Andreana and her brother Carmelo (ex-Machine Shop Manager, Malta Drydocks).
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 3.30 p.m. for St Andrew's parish church, Luqa, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 4 p.m. followed by interment in the family vault at Luqa parish cemetery.

CASSAR. On November 9, GIUSEPPE, aged 85, photographer and watercolour artist (formerly of Cassar Photo Studio, Hamrun), previously of St Julian's, residing at Attard, passed peacefully away, after a long illness borne with fortitude, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, joining his beloved wife Aldina née Manghi who predeceased him four months ago. He leaves to mourn his great loss his children Rossella, wife of Arnold Dalmas, John and his wife Moira née Schembri, Luigi and his wife Josephine née Ebejer, his grandsons Lawrence and Edward Dalmas, Luke and Mark Cassar, and Franco and Paolo Cassar Manghi, his brother Dr Carmelo (Bru) Cassar and his wife Doris née Bonnici, his sister Martha and her husband Dott. Ermanno Manghi of Modena, his nephews and nieces and their families, in-laws, other relatives and friends - R.I.P.
The funeral took place last Tuesday.

CHUTE. On November 4, GILLIAN (formerly Trenchard-Lane), widow of Major Desmond Chute, passed peacefully away at Cheltenham Hospital, Glouc., England. She leaves to mourn her loss her twin daughters Suzie Xuereb and Nathalie Anastasi, her son-in-law Mark Anthony Anastasi, her grandchildren Maxine and Nigel Anastasi and Annabelle Xuereb, her brother Peter Flint in Germany, other relatives and friends.
The funeral was held in Bibury, Gloucestershire, on November 8. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 5 at 7.30 p.m. at St Patrick's church, Sliema. Parking in the school grounds.

DE GIORGIO. On November 15, at Villa Messina Home for the Elderly, Rabat, CHARLES, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Maria Consolata née Vassallo, his children Rita, wife of Christopher Pearson, Oliver and his wife Carmen, Joseph and his wife Alma, his grandchildren Simon, Robert, Rachel, Daphne, Trevor, Clarissa, Timothy and Samantha, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves Villa Messina tomorrow at 2 p.m. for the Immaculate Conception parish church, Cospicua, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m.. He will then be laid to rest at Attard cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

VELLA. On November 16, at his residence in Birzebbuga, EDWIN, aged 85, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Josephine, his four children Lino and his wife Antoinette, Mariuccia and her husband Dr Joe Carabott D'Amato, Anna and her husband Captain Richard Gabriele and John, his grandchildren, his brother Maurice and his wife Polly, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.
Mass praesente cadavere will be said today at 2.30 p.m. at St Peter's parish church, Birzebbuga, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.

Requiem Masses

On the tenth anniversary of the death of ALFRED and PETER CAMILLERI, a Mass for the repose of their soul will be said tomorrow at 6.30 p.m. at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception parish church, Ta' l-Ibrag.
