Fondazzjoni Wirt Artna will be organising a special day for the public at Fort Rinella in Kalkara today in line with the opening of the film set at Fort Ricasoli to the public.

The foundation, which is restoring the fort and its huge 100-ton gun, said animated tours will be provided at 11.30 a.m., 2.30 and 4.30 pm. The public will be shown round the fort by volunteers in Victorian military uniforms. Each guided tour will be accompanied by live re-enactments giving aspects of late 19th century British army life in Malta.

Members of the public wishing to visit Fort Rinella can drive to the Three Cities and then follow road signs to the fort or take a number 4 bus to Kalkara stopping at the entrance. Fort Rinella is sited half way between the Mediterranean Film Studios and Fort Ricasoli.
