We sit and hold your picture
As you looked so long ago.
We wonder, how would you look
Were you here with us today.
God had you in His plans that day
You were lifted from our arms
But still, as days go passing by,
Our eyes keep searching, Everywhere.
Our heart is still as broken
As it was that other day, and,
Though the years
Have passed and gone
We love you, each and every day.
And if the Lord gave us one wish
We wouldn't think,
Not for a second.
We'd ask to see your face.
When the time is right . . . Someday . . .
