With reference to the article "Live turtle found in Gozo fountain" (October 31), I would like to point out that the Marine Rescue Team was in direct contact with the police inspector who was handling the situation, giving him advices and even offered further assistance.

Since there was nothing wrong with the turtle, the team felt that there was no need for its further intervention, especially since the case was in Gozo.

In the meantime, the members of the team would like to thank the police inspector who took a personal initiative in handling the matter and in contacting the team.
