The late jazz musician Bernard Scerri was recently remembered by family, friends and fans during a Tribute Night at BJs Nightclub organised by proprietor Philip Fenech.

A jazz Mass was celebrated by Fr Hilary Tagliaferro, who runs the Millennium Chapel at Paceville.

Scerri, 36, who died a few weeks ago, was one of the top jazz musicians in Malta and used to dedicate time and support to music marathons at the BJs to raise funds for the chapel.

Mr Fenech unveiled a large picture of Bernard which now hangs on the stage in tribute to the musician.

Jazz music during the Mass was provided by Paul Giordmaina on the piano and Sammy Murgo on the saxophone.
