The General Workers' Union yesterday ordered workers at Aluminium Extrusions to lay down tools.

It claimed the management had not paid the salaries and that it had barred entrance to a worker who had taken part in industrial action the day before.

The union said that by not paying the workers when their wages were due, the management had gone against a previous agreement on restructuring and payment of outstanding wages.
