For the winter months of 2002/2003, Air Malta is offering its clients 34 destinations in 20 countries. These destinations are being served with 114 flights.

The United Kingdom remains the most popular destination of Air Malta flights, with the airline offering six destinations, namely Birmingham, Glasgow, London Gatwick, London Heathrow, London Stansted and Manchester. Air Malta is flying twice daily to London Heathrow while there is a daily flight to London Gatwick.

Air Malta also offers six destinations in Germany: Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Stuttgart, Munich and Berlin. The German cities are being served by a total of 14 flights a week.

Air Malta also flies daily to Rome. Other destinations in Italy include Catania and Milan Malpensa airport.

The remaining European destinations served by Air Malta during this winter season include Amsterdam, Athens, Brussels, Dublin, Geneva, Istanbul, Larnaca, Lyon, Moscow, Oslo, Paris Orly, Sofia, Stockholm, Vienna and Zurich.

Compared with winter 2001, Air Malta has included Stuttgart, but dropped Beirut and Damascus for winter 2002.

Over the past three years, Air Malta has dropped its number of destinations from 39 (with 116 flights per week) in winter 2000, down to 36 (with 118 flights per week) in winter 2001 and down again to 34 in winter 2002 with 114 flights per week.

In winter 1992, Air Malta served 21 destinations with 69 flights while 10 year earlier, in winter 1982, the national carrier operated 43 flights weekly to 15 destinations.
