The Department of Public Policy within the Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy will be holding a public lecture on "In Defence of Public Policy".

The lecture will be given by Professor David Milne, Professor Emeritus, Department of Political Studies, University of Prince Edward Island, Canada and Visiting Professor at the Department of Public Policy. He is a leading authority on Canadian politics and has in recent years also contributed extensively to the study of small states.

Among his publications one finds The Canadian Constituion, Tug of War: Ottawa and the Provinces under Trudeau and Mulroney, and he is co-editor of Lessons from Political Economy of Small Islands.

The lecture will be held on Tuesday at 6.45 p.m. at University House. The lecture will be followed by the presentation of the Agenda Book Prize for the best dissertation in Public Policy.
