The Malta FA yesterday announced that today's two-match programme from the Premier League, scheduled for the Victor Tedesco Stadium, will be postponed as the pitch at the Hamrun ground is still unfit for play following the heavy rains which fell in midweek.

The two matches in store were moved to the Centenary Stadium this week.

Hibernians play Marsaxlokk on Tuesday and Valletta take on Mosta on Wednesday. Both matches start at 6.30 p.m.

The re-seeding programme at the Tedesco Stadium has just been effected a few weeks ago. After a thorough inspection yesterday, the ground management informed the Malta FA that the pitch was still soggy and certainly not in a condition to take two matches in a row.

The National Stadium and the Hibs Ground are not hosting matches at the moment as the two turf pitches there are also in the middle of a re-seeding process.

The artificial turf pitch at the Centenary Stadium is currently taking the bulk of the fixtures as the Malta FA seeks to keep its competitions going despite the re-seeding programmes at this time of the year.
