Three-day festival...
a successful event
The three-day Martial Arts Festival, held at the Barcelo Riviera Resort and Spa, Marfa, came to an end on Sunday.
The festival brought together various martial arts disciplines including fencing, karate, wingtsun, ninjitsu, spirit combat and kick boxing. Instructors and their students demonstrated their arts while allowing the ones present to participate.
Austrian international fitness professional Iris Foidl was also present, conducting specialised fitness classes including total body styling and power yoga, and aerobic classes.
Kancho Adrian Axisa, who organised this successful event, said: "We have brought together various martial arts bodies with the aim of uniting them together and creating a unique experience. With the help of this festival, each participant shared his or her martial arts knowledge."
Foidl had words of praise for the participants in this successful festival, describing the Maltese people as open minded and fun to work with.
Foidl stressed the importance of everyone taking up some form of sport in order to feel good both physically and mentally, while also bearing in mind that when a person starts any kind of sport, he/she should get accustomed to the sport slowly and not exhaust themselves.
Kancho Axisa said that more events of this kind will be held in the near future.
