A Gzira man was yesterday charged with stealing a car.

Albert Bugeja, 30, pleaded not guilty to stealing Manweli Briffa's Ford Cortina from Floriana on October 28.

He was also charged with handling stolen property, failing to notify the police commissioner of a car transfer and relapsing.

Police Inspector Ramon Mercieca prosecuted.

Dr José Herrera and Dr David Camilleri appeared for the defendant.
