Parliament's agenda

The House of Representatives is due to start debating the Gender Equality Bill when it meets this evening.

The main purpose of the bill is to ensure that no person is discriminated against by reason of his or her sex or because of family responsibilities.

Earlier in this evening's sitting, the House is due to give a third reading to the Immigration Bill and the Bill on assistance to the International Criminal Court.

Also on the agenda of the House is the bill to amend the Motor Vehicles Insurance (third party risks) Act, second reading; the Sports Bill, third reading, the Post Office Act (amendment) Bill, third reading; resolution by the prime minister on the situation in the country, continuation.
