Truck donated to Gozo Ministry

The environmentaL society FEE of Minden, Germany, has donated a lorry to be used for public tree planting and tree maintenance activities in Gozo.

The lorry, driven from Minden to Catania by two society members, is not the first donation this society has made to Malta. In the past 11 years it donated two fire-engines, a van, soil mixing and drilling machinery and other help extended to the Agriculture Department for the Ghar Lapsi Afforestation Project and for the department's tree propagation programme.

The donations were made as a result of contacts between FEE president Burckhardt Schulte, his committee and Joseph Borg, chairman of the Maltese Tree Society and the International Tree Foundation.
