The Magistrates' Court yesterday jailed a man for six months saying he was unable to control his emotions and passion and over-reacted to the least frustration.

Joseph Zahra, 46, of Hal-Far, was found guilty of causing wilful damage to a government-owned car in Floriana in November 1999.

Magistrate Jacqueline Padovani Grima noted that the incident occurred after Zahra had illegally parked his car in private property. When he was about to leave, the way was partially blocked by another car and he lost control venting his frustration by kicking the vehicle in question.

Police Inspector Mario Tonna prosecuted.
