A total of 142 new marriage separation cases were filed in the first hall of the Civil Court this year up to October 15, Justice Minister Austin Gatt told Mr Carmelo Abela (MLP) in reply to a parliamentary question yesterday.

He said 40 separation cases were withdrawn. The courts decided 12 cases. In one case the court disagreed with the separation.
