Maltapost's general manager for corporate services, Joseph Gafa has been elected on the PostEurop's management board for the years 2003-04.
His election was made on October16, during PostEurop's annual plenary assembly at Hersonissos on the Greek island of Crete. This is the first time that the postal administration of Malta will be serving on the PostEurop management board.
Mr Gafa is actively involved in a number of PostEurop projects including CAPERS, UNEX Lite, Terminal Dues Action Group (TDAG) and Terminal Dues Sub-group for Pre-Accession countries.
PostEurop is a non-profitable organisation and is an officially recognised Restricted Union of the Universal Postal Union (UPU). The principal objective of PostEurop is to promote and represent the views of European public postal operators in the international postal arenas.
