A Ta' Giorni man has been charged with stabbing a man and seriously injuring him during a fight in Qawra last Friday.

Kevin Debono, 30, pleaded not guilty to injuring Carmel Hartley with a penknife and keeping and carrying the knife without a licence at Ta' Cassia at about 11 p.m.

Debono was granted bail against a Lm100 deposit and a personal guarantee of Lm500.

Police Inspector Paul Bond prosecuted.
