Three Misco courses

Business Process Re-engineering

Misco Training is organising a one-day training workshop offering a modern slant to Business Process Re-engineering at the Misco Training Centre, Valletta, on November 6 from 9 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.

The course, which aims to demonstrate the importance of efficient systems in meeting today's business goals, shows how systems can be tailored to reinforce the successful application of modern techniques, such as relationship marketing and supply chain management.

It also helps participants to develop a better understanding of business systems and their impact on pro-fitability. A mixture of hands-on case studies and discussion groups is used to create a genuine understanding of how the techniques can be used to add value to core processes.

Total Quality Management

Making quality work for you is the key business issue of most executives today. As a more competitive market evolves, so do the demands of the customers and only quality-oriented organisations will survive.

What is quality and why quality matters will be discussed during the MISCO-TACK two-day training programme, Total Quality Management, being held at the Misco Training Centre in Valletta on November 4 and 5 from 9 a.m.-5.30 p.m.

Peter Brown, who will be conducting the programme works with TACK mainly in management and communication training, centred on the development of tailored, in-company programmes for a wide variety of organisations. Recently, he assisted a number of companies with the introduction of BS 5750 and Total Quality programmes.

This workshop-style programme involves case studies, input sessions, questionnaires and team exercises.

Delegates will understand and put into practice the requirements of ISO 9001 - 2000, introduce effective Quality Assurance procedures, understand and develop the TQM concept and measure the effectiveness of quality in the market place.

Safety Leadership

A key issue faced by today's managers is creating a safe working environment. Experience shows that most accidents are caused by ignorance, complacency or poor communication, and during the two days, delegates will work actively on case studies and in discussion groups to learn accident prevention techniques and to develop the specialist leadership skills necessary for promoting an effective safety culture.

Misco Training is organising a two-day training workshop on Safety Leadership at the Misco Training Centre in Valletta on November 7 and 8 from 9 a.m.-5.30 p.m.

This interactive programme, which has been conducted worldwide for many leading companies and is accredited by one of the major employer organisations within the oil industry, will show delegates the human, operational and financial advantages of an effective safety culture.
