Alex Borg and Simon Zammit yesterday had a positive day in the IBSF World Snooker Championships, currently being played in Cairo.

Both registered valuable group wins, the third in a row for Borg and the second for Zammit who, however, lost two other ties.

Zammit has the chance to improve his position today as he will be involved in two matches from Group E. Borg plays against Kimmo Lang of Finland from Group F.

Results - Zammit beat Mark Canovan (N. Zealand) 4-3 - 69-41, 31-55, 41-56, 73-20, 48-60, 90-39, 68-17; Borg beat Eric Lepaul (France) 4-0 - 68-25, 87(87)-14, 56-39, 65-44.
