A 31-year-old man from Birkirkara died in hospital after receiving an electric shock while laying concrete on a garage roof in Il-Maqdes ir-Ruman Street, Mtarfa yesterday at 6.05 p.m.

The police said Joseph Borg died some time after the incident.

Magistrate Jacqueline Padovani Grima was informed and appointed a number of experts to help in the inquiry.

The police are investigating.
