Malta Libya Shopping Festival

The Malta Libya Shopping Festival, organised by the Libyan-Maltese Chamber of Commerce, is to be held at the Tripoli International Fair Grounds between November 20-29.

The Libyan-Maltese Chamber of Commerce said this was an important period for the business community in Libya, which is currently preparing for new legislation on agent representation.

Maltese companies with exclusive representation of international brands for the Libyan market, will be looking out for Libyan partners.

The new legislation allows Libyan businessmen to become official agents for branded products.

The festival brings together a number of companies specialising in various sectors, eager to expand their business relations with Libya. The sectors include office equipment suppliers, household goods, banking and finance services, tobacco, cosmetics, air-conditioning, clothing and management courses to name a few.

The festival aims to attract Libyan clients to sample and purchase products and services, offered by Maltese companies.

Libyan businessmen are being encouraged to attend the festival and hold one-on-one meetings with their Maltese counterparts.

An exhibition by the Malta Photographic Society is also being mounted, with the cooperation of the Maltese embassy.

The festival is also being organised in association with the General Board of Fairs - Tripoli, the Libyan People's Bureau in Malta and the Maltese embassy in Tripoli.

It will be officially opened on November 20.
